It is the custom of the bride to give wedding favors at the wedding reception as a thank you for the presence of the wedding guests at her wedding and for helping to make it a more memorable day and also for the guest to have a remembrance of her wedding. No one knows exactly when this custom began, just that it is old. Some people think it started in Italy as long ago as the eighth century. It is known that at the end of the nineteenth century it was considered the popular thing to do. From royalty giving out silver to the peasant class giving out a few treasured almonds in a cardboard box everybody was doing it.
For members of the immediate family the bride might want to choose a little better more lasting gift as parents, grandparents and great grandparents would want a lasting memento to keep.

Wedding favors are the new thank you card for attending the wedding. Elegant and candle favors are very popular because they enhance most any dcor or add class to most themes. It is a vast improvement that has sent the old not so personal thank you cards to the back of the class. These small gifts will always be a treasured keepsake for your guests and a wonderful reminder of the wonderful time they had in celebrating with the happy couple. It is a remembrance of the joy and happiness that was in the air and surrounding the entire party.
Elegant favors are a lovely way to add a touch of elegance that is not overly expensive. The small crystal angle is one that is elegant and can match any dcor. It is also a gift of thanks and a blessing wished for each guests. Perhaps you would prefer a more useful gift like a “Calla Lilly Bouquet ” design glass coaster set that will remind them of the fun they had on your special day. The gift is a good way to add to the dcor and makes a wonderful conversation piece for the guest to talk about.

It has grown to the status of tradition to include wedding favors for the guests that attend the ceremony and reception. These small, inexpensive gifts items are intended to say “Thank you” to the guests in a more pleasant and stronger manner than simply sending out cards once the big day is over. Unfortunately, even though there is a huge variety of items available for giving as wedding favors, it seems that most couples target in on pretty much the same items as most other couples. You want your wedding to be unique, so stand out from the crowd and give unique wedding favors.
There is an entire world full of choices of items to give as wedding favors, yet it seems that most couples settle on the same items. You want your wedding to be traditional but unique and different. Step away from the crowd and give unique wedding favors to help make this happen.

For a long time it has been the custom in America and abroad for the bride to give wedding favors to her guests that have come to pay her homage on her wedding day. To show her and her family’s appreciation for their coming and the gifts they will give. Although wedding favors are not usually, the first thing the bride and groom to be going to think of when they are making out their list of things that needs attention for their wedding day to run smoothly. Wedding favors are of importance and if they are unique, that makes them so much more desirable. For a proper wedding, they have to be included in the budget, but they need not be that expensive. In fact, some unique favors hardly cost any money at all.

They cover most occasions, too, so if all else fails, check out what is available for monogramming. Just plan ahead, because monogramming takes a little extra time.
The only problem with buying a monogrammed gift, if you want to call it a problem, is picking from the vast selection that you have. What types of items would they like or use or like to display? According to custom and tradition, the maid of honor is supposed to host a bridal shower for the soon to be bride. Occasionally others take on this responsibility, but it is traditionally the duty of the maid of honor. No matter who hosts the event, including bridal or wedding shower favors to thank the guests for coming and for the nice presents they bring for the bride.
Originally, a wedding shower was a time when the friends and families of the bride and groom would come together to shower them with gifts of things that would be helpful in setting up their household. Today’s bridal showers are handled a little differently. Generally only the female friends and family of the bride come to this type of party and give her gifts that are more personal rather than items for the home.
It is customary to have games for the ladies to play in an effort to make the party fun for all involved. Nobody wants to go just to watch the bride opening her gifts. A lot of hostesses order extra bridal or wedding shower favors so that they will have some items to award to the winners of the games. This encourages all of the ladies to participate and enjoy themselves. Some of the games played can be a little risqu. The favors chosen for giving as prizes can be fun and flirty as well.

It is a goal of most brides to make their wedding day as elegant as humanly possible. Different color schemes and themes may be chosen, but it is important that everything appear as elegant as possible at the ceremony and reception. Wine and silver wedding favors are two types that can add elegance to any reception by their very nature.
Wine wedding favors are elegant by their nature. Bottle stoppers decorated to fit in with any theme chosen by the bride and groom are available for purchase. Bottle openers and corkscrews are also available as wine wedding favors. Wine and champagne flutes for toasting the couple at the reception may also be included in this category.
Silver wedding favors may be the most elegant in the world. These do not have to be made of silver as long as they have the sheen of it. They can add a lot to the dcor of the reception and contribute to the elegance of the party. There are many different silver wedding favors available. It is possible to have most personalized by engraving the names of the bride and groom and their wedding date into the items. Metal photo frames, cookie cutters and other kitchen utensils, and many wine wedding favors are included in this category of favors.

Wedding favors are small, low cost items that a couple gives to their guests to thank them for attending their ceremony and reception. The gratitude of the couple is carried to the guests more effectively than it would be by sending out thank you cards once the event is over. There are many different items in a wide variety of colors, styles, and themes. Despite this fact, it seems to be a growing trend that certain items are given out at most weddings. This is the reason many couples choose to make the day their own by giving unique or personalized wedding favors.
Unique wedding favors are very different items than would normally be expected to be seen or received as wedding favors. Some have practical uses for the recipients, yet make good keepsakes because they stand out from other items. Others are not practical at all, but they too will work to remind the guests of this particular ceremony and no other. This is, after all, the other purpose for giving out favors in the first place. They are keepsake items that will remind the guests of this particular event when they are looked upon for many years.
