Event photography can be a daunting assignment for any photographer. Counting on the size of the event, this may demand a one-man team or an entire entourage of pro photographers to handle the divers positions especially for big, parallel events. As a client, you would wish to be sure that the photographer has everything on the list. You know you are dealing with a pro if these five requisite scenes are taken into the final portfolio of your event:
Emotions. In event photography, it is very important to capture the emotions of those who are essential players to the event and also of the viewers. Some people think the techniques of the photography is very important. Many people seem to feel that the only setting on a digital camera is the “Auto” setting and that everything else is just so much technical stuff they don’t need to bother about. While this will generally produce good photos, there will be times when faded colors, shadows and reflections, among other things can ruin what would otherwise be a great picture. Taking control of your digital camera is not hard and if you follow these basic digital photography techniques you will have begun to realize the true potential of your camera.
A common problem with digital cameras is having colors that look faded or lack warmth – this is caused by the white balance auto setting. When a camera is set to “Auto” the camera is programmed to balance the colors in a specific way and in the case of pictures taken in bright sunlight this may results in a balancing that makes some of the darker colors look faded. Try changing the setting from auto to “cloudy” as this will program the camera to accept deeper tones, especially for oranges, yellows and reds and give more life to your photos.

You’re wedding day is supposed to be one of the most special days in your entire life. You only get the chance to go through the day once in your entire life, well for most of us anyway. After you have planned the entire event to a T, all you have to do is turn up and face the music. After it is all over you can relive the entire event through your regal photography and thrilling wedding video.
Wedding photography can be very artistic as of course wedding videos can, but after the day has passed the video remains the only true format that captures everything in all it’s free flowing glory. You can see the expressions, feel the tension, and experience all the excitement once more as you watch it back. You will probably not remember your wedding film company being there on your big day. This is the mark of professionalism.
A lot of people miss out on having a wonderful wedding video keepsake as they have opted to save money by letting a friend or relative handle this area. Even if it’s for a wedding present the person will unlikely have the proper equipment and expertise needed to record the event properly unless they have a professional videography company. Editing also takes a lot of skill and patience.
